  • Where and when is this year’s Isle of Wight Dog Festival?

    The 2024 Isle of Wight Dog Festival is on 14 and 15 September 2024. 

    The show is held at the Isle of Wight County Show Ground, Cowes Road, Northwood, Isle of Wight. PO30 5TP

  • What are the show opening times?

    The show is open from 9.00am to 6pm on both event days.

  • What is the cost of the tickets?

    The Isle of Wight Dog Festival runs over 2 days. The entry ticket prices below are for both days. Day tickets are not available.


    Entry:

    • Adult: £8.00
    • Child 5-15: £4.00
    • Infant 0-4: Free
    • Carer: Free (a copy of a letter that says which disability benefits the person you care for gets, or if you get Carer’s Allowance, may be required at the gate)
    • Camping: £60 (includes entry for 2 adults and up to 3 children for the weekend)

    Class Entries

    • All class entries are £2.00 per entry
  • Can I book my tickets online?

    Tickets can be booked in advance on our website by clicking here. Alternatively a limited amount of tickets may be available to purchase on the gate, however we strongly advise booking tickets online to take advantage of the discounted pre-booking rate and to secure entry to the show.

  • Do you offer group ticket rates?

    At the moment we have no plans to offer a group rate.

  • I’m having problems with my ticket booking – what should I do?

  • I’ve booked the wrong date on my tickets! Can I amend the booking?

    As long as the show hasn’t sold out or a day isn’t at capacity, this shouldn’t be a problem. Please email tickets@iowdogfestival.com with your Booking Reference Number and the team will be able to assist you. Please note that emails are monitored from 9am – 3pm Monday to Friday. 

  • I can no longer attend – can I get a refund?

    We’re sorry if you can’t join us. Tickets are refundable until 30 days before the start of the show. After that, all tickets are non-refundable.

  • Do you have a concession for carers?

    Yes, we offer free entry for carers. You will need to book tickets for everyone else in your group and select a carers ticket for the carer, which will be FOC.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    This event is designed for you and your dog to enjoy together.  There are a few points to remember though; All dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. If your dog is being handled by a minor please stay with your child and dog. Please do not bring bitches in season. Don’t forget your poo bags and please clear up after your dogs. All dog owners are responsible for their dogs at all times. Please be sure that your dog will enjoy attending an event that is busy with other dogs and humans.

  • Can I bring an XL Bully?

    As of 1st February 2024 it is a criminal offence to own an XL Bully dog in England and Wales unless your dog has a Certificate of Exemption. If your dog has an Exemption Certificate (covering Third Party Public Liability insurance, neutering, and micro-chipping) you can attend the Isle of Wight Dog Festival, however your dog MUST be muzzled and on a lead at all times. Please note that your dog will be unable to take part in any off-lead have-a-go activities (including, scurries, agility etc).

  • Can I still attend without my dog?

    Absolutely! If you don;'t own a do, or you are unable to bring your own dog, you can still come along and join in the fun. The isle of Wight Dog Festival is a great day out for dog lovers and there will be lots for you to enjoy including our amazing arena displays and plenty of doggy shopping (plus it’s great fun watching the dogs take part in the have-a-go activities).

  • How do I enter the Fun Dog Show classes?

    Registration for all of our Dog Show classes has to be done online as this is the only way we can plan for the numbers entered. You can enter as many classes as you like as long as the class isn’t full and your dog fits the category; for example a puppy couldn’t enter the golden oldie class and vice versa. Make sure you read all the information on our Class Schedule page.

  • Can I buy products for my dog at the show?

    Yes you will find all the latest products available for your dog from beds to leads and treats to toys. Almost anything your dog would love.

  • Will the stands, outlets and bar accept card payments or is it cash only?

    Although the majority of our exhibitors and  will have card machines, we always advise bringing some cash with you just in case as sometimes signal can be temperamental. 

    Some of the charities and rescues running the have-a-go activities or operating charity stands may also only be able to accept cash for their products or donations.

  • Will there be food and drink available?

    Yes, we will have a range of caterers at the show offering hot & cold food, drink and refreshments. Only food and drink (except water) purchased at the show can be consumed while at the event unless you have a specific dietary requirement which can be proven. 

    NO GLASSWARE MAY BE BROUGHT IN.


  • Will you have security on site?

    Everyone’s safety and security is important to us. If you notice anything suspicious, please speak to a steward or a member of our security team. The safety and security of all dogs is a priority, so if you witness any incidents, please report it to a steward or a member of staff. Anyone seen mistreating their dog will be asked to leave the show immediately.

    Security will be provided overnight.

  • Can we camp at the show?

    Overnight camping will be available. Spaces will be limited so please book early. Visit our Camping page for more details

  • Is there an additional charge for parking?

    No, we do not charge for parking but our carparks will be marshalled by member sof Isle of Wight Search & Rescue and they will be grateful for your donations.


    Please follow the directions from the car park marshals on the day and only park in the designated event car park area or you could be charged.

  • Is disabled parking available?

    Yes, blue badge parking is available at the event, however it is limited so we advise arriving early. 

    We do not have access to hard standings so all we can offer are spaces nearer the entrance and larger spaces.

    Car park marshalls are due to be on site from 8am.
